Summer is the on the horizon and life is bursting forth all over the place.  There’s also lots of activity at the Village Hall – including a jam packed BIG weekend being planned for July.  Trellech Teas is being taken over too!Grab a cuppa (iced tea anyone?) and read on.Sarah


Trellech Teas Fundraiser
June 27 2014
At the end of the month St Nicholas Church is taking over Trellech Teas to raise money for their funds.  Everyone is welcome to come along – there will be a selection of yummy cakes (as always) but you may see some new faces donning the famous Trellech Tea pinnies!
I’ll send out a reminder nearer the time, but put the date in your diary now!


Trellech BIG Weekend
July 11-13 2014
We’re planning a fantastic weekend for everyone in the village and surrounding areas. More information will be coming your way soon so keep your eyes peeled. There is also information on the BIG Weekend website here.


Photography competition
Calling all budding photographers.  As part of the BIG Weekend we’re running a photography competition.  The theme is Summertime in Trellech – which can be intpreted in any way you want.  It’s open to all ages. Closing date is the end of June.

Songs of Praise
Sunday July 13th
As part of the BIG Weekend St Nicholas is holding a Songs of Praise service on Sunday July 13th.  If you’d like to nominate a hymn that means something to you, you can download a request sliphere.  Entries must be in by the end of this month.


Tai Chi classes
Are you interested in learning this ancient form of Chinese martial arts?  The benefits include greater stability, improved mobility plus a calmer outlook on life.  If you’d like to attend a twelve week class, run by an accredited Tai Chi instructor, please contact Steve on or phone 01600 860967.

Burning issues discussion supper – Friday 4th July 7:30pm to 9:30pm.  Dave Scaysbrook will be talking about his 36 years experience of forensic science working for Scotland Yard and the Home Office using science to fight crime.
