Food Co-op at Trellech Teas – First orders on Friday
Friday April 24th 2:00pm – 4:30pm

We’re starting a Food Co-op at Trellech Teas and this Friday we’re taking our first orders.  A Food Co-op is an easy, more sustainably way to buy fresh, quality and (where possible) local fruit and vegetables.  A bag of produce will cost just £3.00 – and you can choose from five options: Fruit, Vegetables, Mixed (fruit and vegetables), Stiry Fry and Salad.  You can order as many as you like in as many combinations as you like.

Orders are paid for when you make your selection and the bags of goodies will be delivered at the Teas the following Friday when you can order again if you wish.  You must be able to collect, or send someone to collect, as we can’t store the bags.

There’s no weekly commitment to order anything or any combination of bags, you decide each week.  However, as a distribution point we need to have a minimum order of ten bags between us all to keep it going – but I think we’ll easily achieve that once we get going.

We will have examples of the produce you’ll get in the bags this week, but I can assure you it’s impressive!  Below is a picture of last month’s choices – each basket contains the contents of one bag of produce.

Pre-election hustings supper
Friday April 24th from 6:00pm

Don’t forget that you can come along to the Village Hall for a light supper before heading over to St Nicholas Church for the pre-election hustings at 7:30pm.

VE Day commemoration at Trellech Teas
Friday May 8th 2:00pm – 4:30pm

Just a quick note for your diary.  As the 70th anniversary of VE Day falls on a Friday we will be marking the event at Trellech Teas.  If you have any World War II memorabilia you wish to bring along, please let me know (particularly if it’s something big) – use my email address below.  I’ll send out more information in the May newsletter.
