Trellech Village Hall Newsletter – May 2015

Welcome
Aren’t the bluebells spectacular?  I’m not sure why swathes of blue flowers make me so happy, but I’m glad they do.  And bizarrely the wild garlic is out at the same time – that doesn’t happen too often! As ever, there’s a lot to tell you this month.  We’re remembering the end of WWII on Friday with all things red, white and blue (though maybe not the cakes!) and the Food Co-op is going really well.  We have a Take Over Teas next week and some news about the Trellech BIG Weekend.

So, grab a couple of moments and read on….

Remembering VE Day
Friday May 8th at Trellech Teas
It was 70 years ago that the UK celebrated VE Day and as the anniversary falls on a Friday this year we will be remembering that day at Trellech Teas.  If you have any memorabilia from that time, please bring it along.  Photographs, pictures, artifacts etc.  Weather permitting we’ll have an air balloon there too  If you fancy dressing up too, then feel free.

Trellech Teas news
Food Co-op
We started our Food Co-op last month with the first orders being delivered last Friday.  We had over £80 in orders and lots of very happy customers when they collected their groaning bags of produce. If you’d like to take part you simply come along to the Teas on Friday, order the number of bags you’d like (choose from Vegetables, Fruit, Mixed, Stir Fry, Salad and Stew) then collect the following Friday – and order again if you wish.  There’s no commitment to a regular order.  Bags are just £3.00 each.
