The day was very much themed on the humble apple with a popular cash prize competition to find ‘Monty the Maggot’ in a specially designed apple, and a large array of raffle prizes kindly donated by individuals and businesses in the area. A large crowd of visitors attended between 11am and 3pm to taste the cider made from last year’s apple crop.
Visitors also enjoyed the vast range of dishes provided by Sue Flower and volunteer kitchen staff. The apple press was busy outside pressing apples ably assisted by youngsters Lyra Swayne age 3, Max Swayne age 7, Charlotte Edwards age 5, and Henry Edwards age 3.
Thanks to all those who came along and made it a day of fun for all the family!
